ZAGREB SIGHTSEEING

The Zagreb walking tour usually starts from Zagreb’s main square – Ban Jelačić Square named after our 19th century viceroy and national hero, Josip Jelačić Bužimski. The tour continues with the visit of Kaptol and Gradec, two historic settlements from which Zagreb, as a capital city, developed. On Kaptol, you will not only learn about the biggest Cathedral in Croatia and Croatian Catholic Church but you will also get a chance to discover our picturesque farmers’ market Dolac. After crossing the border between the two hills, today the loveliest walking street in Zagreb, we will climb up to Gradec and enter the old city core through the only preserved medieval gate, the Stone Gate. In Gradec, you will get a chance to see the center of Croatia’s political power, Parliament and Government buildings, as well as St. Mark’s Church with its famous colored roof, the baroque church of St. Catharine‘s and 13th century Lotrščak tower. In order to get to the final point of the tour, there is an option to use Zagreb’s Funicular, originally built in 1890, and known as the shortest funicular in Europe. Zagreb’s main street Ilica will lead us back to our stating point.

The tour includes service of a licensed tour guide.

PLITVICE LAKES NATIONAL PARK

Duration: full day (8-10 hours), departure from Zagreb, hotel Academia (venue hotel) at 8:00h.
Price per person: 440 HRK

 Plitvice lakes are the oldest and the biggest among the 8 national parks in Croatia. They consist of 16 connected lakes, numerous waterfalls and rich flora and fauna. The area is considered to be a phenomenon of karst hydrography and was put on the UNESCO World Heritage List in 1979. Only 2 hours drive from Zagreb you can find yourself in this natural wonder, hiking around both the Lower and the Upper Lakes, taking a ride in the electric boat or exploring one of 20 caves in the park. Let us show you why every year more than 1 million travelers decide to visit Plitvice Lakes.

The price per person  includes: transportation costs, service of a licensed tour guide, National park entrance fee, sandwich and lunch without drinks.

Price has been based on minimum 40 participants per bus.

ADVENTURE TOURS

HIKE IN THE NATURE PARK MEDVEDNICA

Duration: 6 hours hiking 15.5 km/9,6 mi, the total elevation is 800 m/2620 ft.), public transport (tram and bus)

The name Medvednica could be translated as “bear mountain”, located just North of Zagreb. This mountain range with its highest peak Sljeme at 1.033 m, is a unique example of an almost fully preserved natural environment just out the back door of a large city. Medvednica is well known as a place for hiking and other outdoor activities.

We offer you a hike trip to the top of Medvednica to Sljeme 1.033 m/3390 ft. On the way you will be able to see Snow Queen Trophy ski-trails, the TV and Radio Transmitter Tower, a spectacular view of Zagorje region and Medvedgrad from the 13th century. Medieval Medvedgrad was arranged for nobility and heavily fortified with double walls, moats and guard towers. It also had water tanks, a chapel and two palaces. During a short visit through the castle ruins you will be able to hear the story of the legendary Black Queen, see the eternal flames of the Homeland Altar and take beautiful panoramic photographs of Zagreb.

Seats are subject to availability and will be booked on a first come first served basis. After receiving your application, tentative confirmation, cancellation policy and payment details will be sent according to the availability. Final confirmation will be sent after receiving your payment.

Method of payment:  American Express, Visa, Master Card, Diners, Bank transfer

All cancellations and modifications of reservation must be done in writing to PBZ Card Ltd. travel@pbzcard.hr . Refund according to the cancellation policy will be made after the event. Any bank charge or commission must be covered by the participant.

In the event of any changes to the minimum number of participant in the particular group, VAT (PDV) regime in Croatia or currency rate, new rates will apply.

Cancellation policy

• from 2nd to 15th August 2017 – 35% of the total service booked will be charged (except hotel Jadran from 15th July 2017)
• from 16th to 25th August 2017 – 80% of the total service booked will be charged
• from 26th August 2017  and “no show”  – 100% of the total service booked will be charged
